NID Holdings has announced its plans for the $200 million Palmera de Cabarete Resort and Spa in the Dominican Republic. The developers have tapped RAD Architecture, interior designer Celia Domenech, and landscape architects SWA Group to work on the project, located on nearly 20 acres. The luxury resort's 138 villas will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and marble floors; penthouses call for summer kitchens, a cabana bathroom, and infinity-edge plunge pools. Also slated for the resort are an expansive spa and wellness center, a conference center, and tennis courts.
NID expects to break ground this year, with completed slated for 2011.
